LGB, Incorporated, has been building homes in South Carolina for over twenty-two years. Prior to that, LGB Construction was located in Ohio and built shopping centers, apartments, and homes in the Youngstown area. Bob Sternberg is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University and Loyola College. He has completed over 900 homes during his career.

At LGB Construction, we combine 32 years of experience in general contracting with the expertise of our professional subcontractors, providing you with the most structurally sound and maintenance-free home in which you have ever lived. We pride ourselves in building a home with innovative components that are usually far above most area building codes. Here are just a few examples of our building system.

FOUNDATION: LGB Construction usually does NOT build on concrete slabs. We strongly recommend a crawl space system. Our foundations include:
* Monolithic footings (not pier pads) are used.
* Piers are laced into the curtain wall, NOT held in place by a mere wall tie.

FLOOR SYSTEM:
* All floor joists are TWELVE (12") INCH on centers, NOT 16" OR 24" as other builders use.
* All flooring is APA stamped 3/4" tongue and groove decking.
* The beams, sills, and girders are strapped to the supporting piers.

IN ADDITION:
All roof trusses are fastened with hurricane clips to the exterior walls. In some cases, this construction feature can lower your home insurance costs.

CONSTRUCTION TIME: During our building experience at Wyboo Plantation, we have, on average, completed 1800-3000 sq. ft. homes in 93-124 working days.

Bob has become so enamored with Wyboo Plantation that he has built his own home there, joining many satisfied Wyboo homeowners whose houses were constructed by LBG Construction.
